         126 journalists killed

         200 doctors killed

         100 lawyers killed

         200,000 children killed

         Iraqis have been losing $1 billion a month in services since the invasion of 2003

         Sanctions have killed more than 1 million people in Iraq.

         Since the invasion, as many as 300,000 Iraqi's have been killed and at least 5 times that number have been wounded.

         Death squads are roaming the streets. They were set-up and trained by US personnel. They started showing up after it was mentioned that the “El Salvador” solution would be used in Iraq. John Negroponte was the Ambassador to Honduras at the time death squads were rampant in El Salvador. He was appointed Ambassador to Iraq after the “El Salvador” statement was made and then the death squads started appearing in Iraq.

         Baghdad - Decapitated heads are evident in certain neighborhoods every morning.

         There is only 3 hrs. of electricity every day, far worse than during the previous sanction time period.

         Unemployment is greater than 50%.

         Tthere are cholera outbreaks and water needs to be boiled.

         During 80’s Iraq had best healthcare system in Middle East. Now people in hospitals have 80% chance of getting a disease while in hospital.

         Iraqi women and children are becoming “Talibanized”. They receive beatings if their ankles show. All women must have male escorts.

         Baghdad has approximately 30 kidnappings  per day.

         The economic occupation has opened markets to foreign goods. There is now foreign ownership of banks and insurance companies. There are no tariffs on goods.

         An IMF deal last year is phasing out food rations. The rations were inadequate, but were keeping people alive. 25% of people are dependent on rations.  Now salt, soap and beans supplies have been reduced by 25%.

         The current situation in Ramadi is similar to what happened in Falluja. The US forces are trying to seal a city of 1/2 million people with helicopters, war planes and tanks. 30% are fleeing, living in abandoned buildings or large mosques.

         Kuwait has a $592 million contract to build a US embassy in the Green Zone of Iraq. The embassy will be two thirds the size  of the Washington Mall. It will include:
8,000 government officials
Large swimming pool and gym
Movie theater and food courts
School

         Camp Anaconda is a hospital base with 400 major surgeries happening per month. Located in northeast Baghdad, it will have 20,000 soldiers living in air-conditioned troop quarters with Internet access and Ipods.

         Plans are being made for 6 large permanent bases that have meals served by citizens from countries like Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, paying what amount to little more than slave labor –. Bases will be equipped with 24 hr. Burger Kings, Starbucks and movie theaters.
