Our newest project,
Farms Not Arms, was created by PRA chairman Michael O'Gorman after he realized that farmers were not
represented among the voices from labor, veterans and other groups speaking out
in the name of peace.The
organization made its national debut in April '06 at the national march against
the war in New York, New York.

Co-chairs Michael O (left) and
Will Allan gathered with PRA alumni from New York including Kathy Connors, Jan Mundo, Susan Wallace and family, and several others, joining forces with Thomas Hupp and Ramon Bloomfield
from Tennessee to carry PRA banners and man our booth passing out
literature about Farms Not Arms and our current billboard campaign. The FNA banner was one of the most colorful things in the parade and drew a lot of attention by photographers.

from Ramon: Just to add a little to the new york trip, first off I'd like to thank
everyone who made it possible. I'm really glad we got to go. the march was nice. I would have liked to see and hear a little more
music. Evan brought his drum which was great we only could of used about
100 more. The feeling I got was people are looking for another way. The
corporate world has lost its shine. It felt like people are ready for change
not only in the white house but in their everyday lives. Farm not arms was
a big hit. When you get 300,000 people together, you got to dance and sing. Any way it was a
great trip and I look forward to many more. Bonnarroo is next, where we will have a PeaceRoots tent.

Veterans for Peace gather in New York after a month long march along the gulf coast in solidarity with Katrina victims.
